Cathy Fries is a board certified family nurse practitioner. She has 16 years experience as a nurse in critical and coronary care, neonatal intensive care, home health care, and as a family nurse practitioner. She enjoys teaching patients ways in which they can better care for themselves, thus promoting health and wellness, and believes the more patients are informed, the better equipped they will be to take care of themselves and prevent illness. In addition, she works collaboratively with other family practice providers (both physicians and nurse practitioners), multi-specialty physicians, therapists, and counselors to provide the best possible care for her patients.
Education:
- MSN from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.
She enjoys doing simple outpatient procedures (i.e. mole and calyst removals and laceration repairs) and has a special interest in educating her patients and their families regarding their health and illness. She believes everyone has the right to medical treatment and is responsible for their own health decisions. The better informed they are, the more equipped they will be to make proper decisions. She enjoys treating the whole family and utilizes this to promote health and wellness. She is a family practice provider with a special interest in allergy, asthma, diabetes, OB/GYN prenatal visits, women's health, preventative medicine, pediatrics, and acute non-urgent trauma (i.e. lacerations, fractures).
She was born and raised in the Green Bay area and enjoys spending time at her cottage with her family. She also enjoys down-hill skiing, snowboarding, golf, and is an avid Packer fan!
